We're excited to share that Lifelong received a $790,000 investment from the approved 2025 budget for King County District 8 to support our kitchen expansion.
“I am proud to have helped secure investments in Lifelong’s kitchen expansion project to meet community members where they are at with healthy, nutritious foods that are culturally appropriate and tailored to address health impacts resulting from chronic illnesses,” said King County Councilmember Mosqueda. “Mounting food insecurity is a public health crisis driving disproportionate rates of chronic illness especially in lower-income communities and communities of color. With this investment, Lifelong can scale the production of medically tailored meals and healthy grocery food programs and enhance King County’s hunger relief response at a critical moment for many amid rising household costs.”
